Necessary Qualifications to Participate in the Santa Rosa Downtown Market

  1. Established food service businesses who wish to sell barbecued, pre-prepared or pre-packaged foods for consumption at the Market.
  2. Artists and Crafts people who wish to sell their own homemade arts and/or crafts.
  3. Community Service Agencies who wish to tell their story to Market attendees.
  4. Certified growers who wish to sell agricultural produce.
  5. Entertainers whose talents are deemed by the selection committee to be attractive to families, youngsters and/or senior citizens.
  6. Processed Food Vendors who wholly produce, manufacture and package products for sale that are not ready-to-eat.
  7. Corporate Sponsors who contract directly with the Santa Rosa Downtown Market.

Arts and Crafts:

Arts and Crafts vendor's fees are $48 per week and are due and payable in accordance with the payment schedule listed on the Arts and Crafts Application. All spaces are approximately 10'x10' along the street. Arts and Crafts vendors will be scheduled for one trimester. If the vendors would like to reserve their spot in subsequent trimesters, they must also pay a deposit equal to one week's fees to reserve their space for each trimester. The trimester's fees are paid three weeks in advance. Discounts given for multiple weeks.

Creative Enthusiasts:

Creative Enthusiast's fees are $42 per week and are due and payable in accordance with the payment schedule listed on the Creative Enthusiast Application. All spaces are approximately 10'x10' along the street. All fees must paid one week in advance of the attendance at the Market. Discounts given for multiple weeks.

Entertainment:

There are no fees paid by entertainers, except as noted below. Entertainers may sell their own recordings, subject to the conditions in the Entertainment Application. Entertainers may display a container for tips. Entertainers who charge for their service must pay the Market a fee, payable in advance. Discounts given for multiple weeks.

Food Vendors:

$105 per week, per space along the street. Food vendors fees pay three times, with the first trimester's fees due prior to the vendors opening in the Market. Subsequent months will be due and payable according to the payment schedule on the Food Vendor Application. Go to the Sonoma County Health Department website to obtain more information about Food requirements at the Market.

Growers/Farmers Market:

$32 per week per 10 ft. (approx) unit of space on the street. Fees must be paid one week in advance of the Market. Discounts given for multiple weeks.

Non-Profit/Community Service Agencies:

$32 per week per space along the street. All spaces approximately 10' x 10'. Community service agencies pay on a weekly basis with fees to be paid no less than three weeks prior to initial participation in the Market.

Hours of Market Operation:

The Santa Rosa Downtown Market season will be May 26 through September 1, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. The streets will be barricaded at approximately 3:45 p.m. Participants must have a valid Market permit to enter Market boundaries. Participants may begin set-up at any time after their segment of the street is fully closed to traffic.

The Market Information Booth will be open at 4:00 p.m. to assist participants and will close at 8:30 p.m. All vehicles must be out of the barricaded area by 4:45 p.m. All participants shall have their set-up complete by 5:00 p.m. Vehicles may re-enter the street to tear down booths and activities AFTER 8:40 p.m. All booths and equipment must be out of the streets by 9:15 p.m. so the police can open the street to traffic.



Participation in the Santa Rosa Downtown Market is a privilege for all.

There are substantial costs in operating the weekly event. Vendor´s fees are set to cover the costs of operating the Market. Therefore, fees are not refundable, except as noted on the vendor applications. Partial spaces or double spaces are available at varying fees. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS FOR RAINED OUT MARKETS.

Refund Policy:

Vendors who want to withdraw from the Market, must do so in writing pursuant to the 2010 Santa Rosa Downtown Market Rules and Regulations.
